EAGLE-EYE - specific training of visual perception
In 30 educational games visual perception and reading skills can be
trained and strengths and weaknesses analysed.
You start with letter recognition (combination of letters b, p, q and d)
continue with symbol sequences consisting of triangles, squares and crosses and
try reading the names of airlines from passing aircraft.
You have the choice of 2 difficulty levels while difficulty is increasing with each game:
by font size, contrast, speed, timing and various factors to divert attention.
Scores are recorded and evaluated.
Graphically simple but made with care this program - like many others of this type -
asks for a good portion of sustained attention. Kids might need some extra support
by their parents for trying to go through all games.
Certainly a visual perception training that can be recommended. Tests indicate
that this training is beneficial for people with dyslexia.
